DO WOMEN LOVE OUR BEARDS AS MUCH AS WE THINK THEY DO?

A question has been circulating through my mind this past couple of days, and no matter how hard I try I can't shake it off, so Instead, I thought I would share it in today's blog post.

That question is - 'has facial hair become too common?' And do our female counterparts love our beards as much as we think they do? Let us investigate a little further to find out...

Indeed beard popularity has quadrupled in recent years, it seems every man and his dog either has some form of facial hair or has done so in the past.

It is no secret that us beardy folk, of course, love our manly furry faces, and often pride ourselves on keeping it looking at its absolute finest. But what do our good ladies think?

In recent years studies and surveys have taken place of which confirm the mass majority of ladies do rather enjoy a man with a little face fur, but in time tastes may have changed, as according to one study it seems designer stubble is still the real winner, and bigger beards are said to be becoming slowly obsolete.

But is the beard boom really over? And can we expect to see fewer men sporting facial hair in the future? I say no, and here's as to why...

Much like anything in life things change, as do our personal preferences, choices, likes and dislikes. Whilst I understand not every person we meet will highly approve of a 'man in a beard' I also understand there are many more that do.

First and foremost, a man grows his facial hair for himself, or at least he should. I didn't seek approval when I began my bearding journey, and nor should I. Your beard should mean something to you, and you alone before anyone else.

Men's tastes change to, I recall when women first began getting tattoos, they were assumed to be in certain parts of the body, such as the ankle, bottom of the back or maybe the wrist area. Now we see some women walking around strutting sweeter tattoo sleeves than most men, and I for one can only applaud this!

Times certainly change, not everyone keeps a beard for life, but more become rather attached to the appearance and feel of a beard than those who do not, seeing facial hair growth remaining as popular as ever, if not more so moving on forward.

One thing I do know for sure is that everytime an issue arises where our beloved face forests sees the brunt end of the argument it seems 'studies' and 'surveys' MUST be conducted by somebody or another. Truth be told many of these so-called studies are anything buy studies at all and are nothing more than hearsay.

For example, the beard poop story that went viral a few years ago claimed that scientific studies determined that our facial hair was dirtier than the toilet seat itself, and this was fact, because, well..sience said so, apparently! When in truth, no study ever took place and was actually conducted by a Mexican radio station.

So, don't always be so cocksure about any sudden study and trust it as facts until you've done a little digging around for yourself first to confirm so, as the chances are you'll not have to search very far to find some of these stories are 'fake news'.

To summarize things in short, grow your beard if you should choose to do so for you and you alone, and if your significant other loves your beard nearly as much as you do, then you're onto a winner, winner chicken dinner!
